Security Audit
Since we will be completing the last rework of our products for the time being this year, we are planning to conduct a security audit of our codebase towards the end of the year. We will announce the scope of this audit at the appropriate time.
Filen Spaces
Filen Spaces will be Filen's new solution for businesses, families, and teams. These virtual data spaces will enable seamless data sharing and transfer within groups and across cloud accounts, while allowing the assignment and revocation of access rights for group participants.
The new affiliate program
To accelerate the growth of our company and enhance the experience for users of our affiliate program, we will introduce a completly new program following the mobile app rework.
Mobile App Rework Closed Beta
In Q2, the new mobile app rework will enter the closed beta phase. It is difficult to predict how long it will remain in this stage, but we are optimistic that there will be no significant obstacles to an early launch.

Following the overhaul of the new desktop client, the Filen Mobile App for iOS and Android will be the next to receive a major update. However, we anticipate several months of development time.
Expansion campaign 2025
After years of preparation of all Filen products, along with the servers and infrastructure, Filen's major expansion and marketing campaign is set to launch in 2025.
Infrastructure Investments
Significant investments in servers will finalize the 'In-house Server' project for now, positioning Filen for the upcoming marketing campaign in 2025.
Web-Drive updates
The release of the new Web-Drive update will feature a redesigned UX/UI and small new features, aligned with the new desktop client.

Server project
Filen is acquiring a complete arsenal of its own servers and infrastructure and is migrating the entire service to this setup. Since then, Filen has been running 100% on in-house hardware.

Release of Filen's new encrypted collaborated notes, chats and contacts.
Website, Blog & Support
Release of the completely new Filen website, new web app (Filen Drive), blog and support panel.
Infrastructure
Massive infrastructure upgrades to support the growth.
Release of the desktop client
Release of the new desktop client, including features like selective sync, bandwidth management, individual sync locations and keybinds.

Release of the completely new mobile app, including features like the automatic camera upload and gallery view.
License
In order to further pursue the open source principle, we have changed our code to the AGPL 3.0 license.
