Public Beta: Filen x Rclone is Now Open for Everyone
Hello folks,
Rclone support has been one of the most requested features since we first mentioned it.
Since so many people have been asking about Rclone support, we’ve decided to open up the beta for the public. This way, everyone can try it out, and we can gather more feedback before we move forward with a pull request to the main Rclone repository and work on integrating it into our own app.
Why this matters
Rclone is the go-to sync tool for power users. By adding Filen support, we're bringing encrypted cloud storage to an even broader set of workflows – including automated backups, scripting, cron jobs, and even advanced sync setups that many of you have asked for. Our version of Rclone is based on v1.69 and includes a custom filen backend. It's downloadable as a single executable for your OS.

What we are looking for
At this stage, we’re particularly interested in your feedback on the sharing and linking functionality. Specifically, we’d like to know how well Rclone handles files and directories that have been shared or linked, your input here will help us fine-tune the experience.
You can also customize memory usage (and, by extension, performance) for your setup by adjusting the following parameters:--filen-max-download-threads
--filen-max-download-threads-per-file
--filen-max-upload-threads
These options are explained in detail in the Filen-specific Rclone documentation. If you share your download/upload speeds, the memory usage settings you used, and your approximate location, we can use that data to improve the default configuration for everyone.
